We are an Interior Design firm.
Our design firm takes a select number of projects per year. Our niche is new construction but we love working with homeowners moving to Maine, who have found an existing property they love. We have been working with clients across the country for years. Our process was perfected during the pandemic of 2020-2022, which allowed for us to really customize specific work to clients in need of a safe and secluded haven.
Most of our projects fall into one of these four categories:
Full-Service Interiors Without Construction: furniture, paint, rugs, art, some custom mill work, and (hopefully!) wallpaper. We have an established, collaborative process that starts with space planning and design, progresses to sourcing and coordinating, and ends with full-service installation of your dream space.
Interiors for Custom New-Build Homes and Full-Scale Remodels: for new construction and remodel projects, we partner with clients and their contractor to establish a clear vision and execute it within the constraints of time and budget. The process is similar to our full-service design projects, but much more involved as we collaborate with contractors and sub-contractors as needed, making ongoing site visits to track progress. We plan, select, source, and install each piece of the design, resulting in a beautiful, turn-key home.
Collaboration with Builders, Developers, and Architects: the home has been designed, but the team is in need of an interior designer to handle the furnishings, rugs, lighting, etc. in order to complete a magazine-worthy space.
Distance or Virtual Design: available for select projects. We work nationally depending on the project scope.

Vanessa Helmick
Owner | Principal Interior Designer, CLIPP™ Certified
With 19 years of experience in the building, design & furnishings industry, Vanessa is the creative force behind Fiore Home, blending her passion for nature-inspired design with a modern, practical approach. CLIPP™ certified and raised near a national park, her love for the natural world shaped her design ethos long before biophilic and organic modern styles became trends. Vanessa’s design work is unpretentious, textured, and warm, prioritizing durability and comfort for homes that are truly lived in.
Vanessa’s journey into interiors began with curiosity and a love for cultural anthropology, eventually leading her to study interior design in Southern California. She moved to Maine in 2010 and has become the go to designer for clients moving across the country as she understands both logistics and oversees whole-house projects. She specializes in delivering waterfront second homes that thoughtfully reflect each client’s unique aesthetic and lifestyle.
In 2017, she opened her showroom, a curated space designed to better serve her design clients.
